Happy 24th of July
Or as the people here in UT call it, "Pioneer Day". It's a state holiday where they celebrate the early settlers of this crazy state reaching the Wasatch Front, where we currently reside. It is a day in UT that is bigger than the 4th of July, and includes parades, community breakfasts, and fireworks tonight. Who knew, right?! I found out by getting invited to a community breakfast on a random Thurs. morning which they then had to explain to me. Welcome to Utah they said, didn't you celebrate a day like this in CA?! To which I politely responded, umm no. So again, Happy 24th of July, light a sparkler in honor of the state of Utah!!!
