Birthdays & Cornbelly's
October is a busy month for birthdays in our family, my mom's is the 8th, Joe's is the 22 and Miles' is the 24th. Joe's was yesterday and we had small group so we went to birthday dinner just Joe and I on Tues. to celebrate. It was funny because we went to this steak place and the waiter asked, "have you been here before?", we said "once, 6 months ago". He looked at us funny and we told him that because our son has peanut allergies we couldn't bring him (they serve peanuts as a freebie when you sit down so the dust is everywhere) so it had taken us that long to have a night free to come back. It's funny when you're reminded of things like that, our life has changed in ways we don't even think about in the everyday happenings. We don't mind it a bit but it is just interesting that entire restaurants are off of our regular attender list because of peanuts (Chick-fil-a, and 5 Guys burgers and fries, Texas Roadhouse...) Anyways... we had a nice time and always enjoy a night out w/o kiddos (well one goes with us everywhere but he/she doesn't cause us any trouble yet, wink!). Miles birthday is tomorrow and we are having a small party at Joe's Aunt's house for that, should be nice and simple. We'll save the big parties for when he gets older, maybe...
Today we went to Cornbelly's which is this great pumpkin patch/corn maze with lots of huge slides and fun kid things to do including a huge sandbox filled with corn kernels, very cool! It was a field trip with Miles' school and Eli came with us. I love the ages my boys are at because they can both participate in the same activities for the most part and they both can follow directions (for the most part). It was a ton of fun, I thought we'd be done in an hour and we ended up staying 3.5 hours! Everything was included in the price of admission ($3) including picking a pumpkin off the vine to take home. As we left Miles said so sadly, "I'm going to miss this place". How cute is that! We'll try to go one more time with daddy.

Sounds like you're having a great time!!!
What fun stories!
Being as tactile as I am, I could only dream of being in a sandbox full of corn kernels!! Hmmm. Now how can I get my hands on hundreds of pounds of corn....(grin)
Just head to your local feed store Sara. :0)
