Deep thoughts

Last night I was reading to Miles from his bible and was reminded of something that was stated at our Good Friday service. "When Eve ate of the apple in the garden of eden a shadow of the cross was on the horizon... God clothed them with animal skins, the shedding of innocent blood covered their nakedness." So cool, gives me goose bumps again just writing it down. You see, when Adam and Eve brought sin into the world, God knew what was to come and even at that point in scripture he was foreshadowing the future. I love how our God is so intricate and into details!! Just as He gave them the skins of animals to cover themselves He gives us Jesus to cover our sins. He had mercy on Adam and Eve, and he also shows us mercy daily. Even though they could no longer live in the garden he allowed them to live. Life isn't easy but our is joy in knowing who we live for. Just my thoughts for the day!
